Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. He is the recipient of multiple top-tier CEO awards within Westpac and is the recipient of the ‘Bronze medal of Bravery’ from the Royal Humane Society of New South Wales. John has been involved with charities from an early age through his Dad (Jack Cannons AM - Bush to Beach Founder) and his charity work over the years. John has also been directly and indirectly involved in many fundraising programs and events through employment at Westpac. Other than being an early helper with Bush to Beach since the program started in 2006, John has been involved with programs and events such as the Variety Kids Xmas Party which is annual event thrown by Variety - The Children’s Charity, hosting thousands of Aussie kids from across NSW and helping them get a fair go at Christmas time. John was instrumental in organising support for Bush to Beach through the Westpac Foundation and the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR). This support included yearly grants of ten thousand dollars to help the program run and also other support including assistance through Westpac’s partners to help establish Bush to Beach as a standalone charity program. John is excited to help grow the Bush to Beach program and help thousands of Aussie Bush kids.
